		<description>I built my house for about $60/sq foot.  I have not seen a drastic rise in material cost except for maybe concrete (up 20% from when I built my house) so I don&#039;t think that doing it all over again would cost much more.  Even with a 20% increase in concrete prices your only talking about maybe $2000 difference for my house.  Prices on some things have gone down with the housing market being pretty week in Florida so you may see these prices get better, unless we have a bad hurricane season.  The price I got from a contractor to build my house was over $100/sq-ft, and that would have been wood framed.  I put a lot of sweat equity in my home which saved tons of money so this should be taken into consideration when looking at these costs.  On the other hand, I didn&#039;t skimp on anything.  I&#039;ve got hardwood floors, granite countertops, nice cabinets and fixtures ect. You could cut some cost there if you wanted to.</description>
